Jeffrey P. DeGeorges has nearly three decades of civil litigation experience. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Public Justice form Oswego State University, he attended Hofstra University School of Law. While there, he became a member of its most prestigious journal - the Hofstra Law Review - and was granted special permission to practice in the Family Court as a law student, advocating for the protection of abused women and children.
Mr. DeGeorges concentrates on the trial and appeal of medical malpractice defense matters. He has obtained defense verdicts in Courtrooms from New York City to Riverhead, as well as successfully protected clients in investigations by the Office of Professional Medical Conduct and Office of Professional Discipline. He has also successfully briefed and argued many cases in the Appellate Division. Mr. DeGeorges is admitted to practice in the Courts of New York State, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and Southern District of California. In addition to litigation, Mr. DeGeorges also lectures to healthcare professionals on matters involving risk management and suit avoidance.
